All over the internet there are websites, blogs, articles and people giving us advice about how to be ‘healthier’ and how to be ‘super fit’. Apparently, it is super easy too! But, there is one thing that is holding us all back (well the vast majority) and it’s a life. Yes I want to be super fit; I want to be the sexiest person on the beach. I would also like have a beer at my side and a whole tub of Ben and Jerry’s in my hands. When I write super fit, what I really mean ripped and shredded and have a ridiculous six pack. Reluctantly I look at those people with admiration but then the logical side of my brain is telling me, they clearly don’t have much fun. They don’t know what a good bag of chips taste like or what it is like to be that drunk that you are sick through your nose (not that has ever happened to me). This blog is going to be my journey to becoming ‘fit’, with all my trip ups, temptations and full out denials. The constant battle between fitness and food and all those things we love although we know we shouldn’t.
So, me…I’m Dale, a pretty normal 28 years old, although I have been told I look younger and been going to the gym for about 2 years. I would say that I’m pretty healthy but I haven’t got that 6 pack yet. Pizza, donuts, chocolate and burgers are my biggest downfalls. This is going to be a good week though, I have already prepared my overnight oats, soaked in apple juice with orange and banana. The gym kit is waiting, so all I need to do is get up and go to the gym before work. Easy Peasy!
